OUR STORY

Our story is one of family, friendship, hard work, and a love of Tuscany and all that comes with it, including its rich tradition of vegetable tanning. The three of us, Tim, Fabrizio, and Mario, are deeply passionate about the vegetable tanned leather industry and want part of our legacy to be that there is still a market for these all natural, sustainably produced products in a world increasingly awash with ‘fast-leather’ products—some of which aren’t even leather.

Since 1955, our tanneries have been making leather in Tuscany the right way, the natural way, the old way, and we are proud to do it. We use 100% ethically sourced bull hides (by-product of the beef industry) as raw material. All the leather we use in our products we make ourselves in Santa Croce Sull’ Arno, the heart of the Tuscan tanning industry.

Tuscan Bull is about more than tradition, treating the earth right, and beautiful leather, though. It is about family. Our sons, daughters, cousins, nephews, and nieces work in our tanneries, walking the floors, making sure that every hide, every raw piece of leather, and every final batch is exactly what we wanted.

The people that you see modelling Tuscan Bull on this website and on our social media are our sons and daughters, and the locations are not sets—they’ve been in the family for generations, or they were shot in the streets, town squares, and wild places that make Tuscany one of the most special and naturally beautiful places in the world.
